McGuire, Yuhas, Huffman, & Buckley (formerly Richardson, Karloski, & Pinkley) began in public accounting in 1929. Since then, the roles of accountants and consultants have grown in importance every year. In 1999, our name changed to McGuire, Yuhas, Huffman, & Buckley, but the quality and timely service remains unchanged. Nearly every personal or business endeavor today requires an exact assessment of people, material, and money to succeed.

Partners & Staff

Daniel J. McGuire, CPA, CVA

Daniel J. McGuire joined the firm in 1974 and became an owner in 1979. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1975, and in 2000, he received his Certified Valuation Analysis (CVA). Dan specializes in providing complete financial and tax consulting services to small businesses, not for profit organizations, and individuals. This includes:

• Financial and Compliance Audits
• Financial and Estate Planning
• Business Valuations
• Preparation and Analysis of Interim Financial Statements

Dan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants, Central Illinois Estate Planning Council, and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysis. He received his BS degree in accounting from Illinois State University.

Dan is an active member of his church and the Kiwanis Club of Decatur.

Robert J. Yuhas, CPA, CFP

Robert J. Yuhas joined the firm in 1976 after graduating from Illinois State University. He passed the CPA exam shortly thereafter and became a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) in 1997. Bob enjoys working with small business owners, not for profit organizations, and credit unions. He also enjoys helping individuals reduce taxes through the preparation of their personal tax returns.

Bob's membership and activities include:

• The American Institute of Certified Accountants,
• Illinois CPA Society,
• The Financial Planning Association,
• Chairman of the Mid-Illinois Chapter of the American Red Cross,
• Commissioner for the Decatur Housing Authority

Bob enjoys golf, helping his wife with their horse showing business and keeping involved with the activities of his four children.

Kevin J. Huffman, CPA

Kevin J. Huffman joined the firm in 1982 and became an owner in 1989. He received his Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois in 1981, and became a Certified Public Accountant in May of 1981. Kevin began his career with Arthur Young and Company in their Chicago office. Kevin now staffs the firm's office in Arthur. He is also a Registered Investment Advisor Representative.

Kevin provides a variety of financial services to his clients. His clients include farmers, small businesses, local governments, school districts, not-for-profit organizations and individuals.

His services include:

• Compilations and Reviews of Financial Statements
• General Accounting and Bookkeeping Services
• Payroll and Payroll Tax Preparation

Kevin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He is an active member of the Arthur Association of Commerce, the Arthur Merchants Committee, the Arthur Rotary Club, the Arthur Area Economic Development Corporation and the Fighting Illini Scholarship Fund. He is a member of the Vine Street Christian Church in Arthur, where he currently serves as the Treasurer. He is a Director at the State Bank of Arthur. Kevin and his wife Carol reside in Arthur with their daughter Mary.

Kevin R. Buckley, CPA

Kevin joined the firm in 1977 after graduation from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with his Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Accounting. He was a CPA in Florida and a Controller of a local manufacturer before becoming a partner in 1989. He became a registered investment advisor in 2000. Kevin is a member of the AICPA, Illinois Society of CPAs and is an active member in his church and loves to fish and golf.

Kevin's emphasis is in:

• Small Business consulting, accounting, and controllerships.
• Tax planning and preparation.
• Financial planning and implementation.
• Audits of local governmental units.
• Audits of non profit organizations.

Kevin's major emphasis is providing his clients with the timely assistance they need to accomplish their business and personal goals while being their number one reference source. With today's technology there is no shortage of information, just a shortage of people who can help you find it and apply it profitably.
